Mobile Printing at the Special Olympics

Special Olympics, Shanghai, Sept 25th – Oct 3rd 2007

CCP´s mobile printing service “mPod” was provided to about 1,100 journalists during the Special Olympics, the Olympic Games for people with intellectual disabilities.

With 35 integral PCs and their own notebooks the media representatives were able to do Internet research and collect their printouts at two Mobile Printing Stations, equipped with Konica-Minolta printers.

In the run-up to the event mPod found wide acclaim among executives of industry, administration, press, radio and television. Even representatives of the Olympic Committee showed an interest in Mobile Printing.

Mobile Printing proved to be a highlight in the Media Center and was actively used by the journalists. The flexible handling of the print jobs directly at the Mobile Printing Station was especially impressive.

Shanghai press center officer Jiao Yang was taken with CCP´s solution and presented it to Wag Guoqing, the director of the national press department.

With such positive feedback from the officials the deployment of mPod during the Expo 2010 in Shanghai is a thinkable option for CCP.
